The 49ers had put up a great performance since the Super Bowl season on Monday at a time when the team seemed almost devoid of life.

Jimmy Garoppolo, Deebo Samuel, and the run game controlled their side of the ball, and the defense made the LA Rams’ offense look rather pedestrian in a 31-10 victory at Levi’s Stadium.

The 49ers had not won a home match since the 18th of October, 2020 which was also against the Rams.

The 49ers Coach Kept His Streak Of Wins Against The Rams

The coach, Kyle Shanahan kept continuing his mastery over his former assistant and Rams’ coach Sean McVay. The 49ers have won 5 games in a row against the Los Angeles Rams. The record of games is now at 7-3.

Shanahan wanted his team to run the ball against the Rams and thanks to Garoppolo, he was able to put his plan into practice. Garoppolo and Samuel teamed up on the play that clinched the victory early in the fourth quarter.

On a fourth-and-6 situation from the Rams’ 40-yard line, Garoppolo made a beautiful throw across the middle as Samuel was breaking himself out open.

Samuel managed to make the catch in stride and took it the rest of the way for a 40-yard touchdown to give the 49ers a 31-7 lead.

Garoppolo completed 15 from his total 19 passes for 182 yards with 2 TDs and no interceptions. Samuel had 5 catches for 97 yards and a TD to his name.

The 49ers converted their first 5 third-down conversions, which enabled them to keep their drives alive and further pound the Rams with their running game.

Rookie running back Elijah Mitchell gained 91 yards on 27 attempts. Even Samuel got into the act with 36 yards and a touchdown on 5 rushing attempts.

Coach Shanahan found a rhythm with his play-calling, in large part because the 49ers did not commit any turnovers and did a good job on third downs.
