The latest trailer for Marvel’s Eternals is finally here, as it reveals quite a lot more about the regal heroes who have introduced months ago. In the first official teaser, the immortal alien race arrived on this planet around 7,000 years ago in order to protect humanity from what was referred to as the Deviants- the evil counterparts of the royal heroes.

The final trailer attempts to provide a glimpse into these monstrous creatures while also addressing why the heroes didn’t want to interfere in the affairs of Thanos. The trailer also hinted at the presence of Celestials, a possible enemy of the eponymous heroes.

Eternals Will Answer a Lot Of Unanswered Questions

In the trailer, Dane Whitman- played by Kit Harington- asks his Eternal girlfriend Sersi- played by Gemma Chan- as to why they never fought against Thanos. To this, the manipulator of inanimate matters answered that they had been instructed to never interfere in the conflicts of humanity until there were Deviants who were heavily involved.

When Dane asked who it was that instructed them on such a code of conduct, the scene shifted to a mammoth red Celestial- who has been identified as Arishem the Judge. In the original comics, it was the Celestials that created the regal-looking heroes, as well as the Deviants.

The timeline of Eternals has been set after the events that took place in Avengers: Endgame, and has been directed by Chloe Zhao, who recently won an Oscar. In fact, her signature natural light landscapes can be seen and understood through this movie.

The movie also has an ensemble cast of Richard Madden, Lia McHugh, Kumail Nanjiani, Brian Tyee Henry, Barry Keoghan, Lauren Ridloff, Salma Hayek, Don Lee, and Anjelina Jolie. Jolie plays the role of Thena, an elite warrior, who can create any weapon out of cosmic energy.

Kevin Feige, the chief of Marvel, has stated that they undertook Eternals only because Chloe Zhao was going to direct it. Not bad for the Oscar-winner, is it?
