Jon Jones, the mixed martial arts star, was reportedly taken into custody on Friday. He was charged with tampering and injuring a vehicle as well as domestic violence battery. Marc Raimondi of ESPN reported the incident.

Not The First Time For Jon Jones

Early in the morning on Friday, the police in Las Vegas arrested Jon Jones. Currently, he is in custody on bail worth $8000. Reportedly, Jon Jones is being held for 12 hours, as claimed by Raimondi. The MMA artist was reportedly arrested in the morning at 5.45 A.M. However, presently, no further specific details involving the charges and the arrest are not yet known.

Jon Jones was in Las Vegas to attend an induction ceremony into the Hall of Fame of the UFC. The occasion was his fight in 2013 where Alexander Gustafsson was his opponent.

Dana White, in his statement to ESPN, said that it was difficult to let Jones into Las Vegas, regardless of the reason. He said that the city has never been good for the artist and such an incident happened once more. It has happened so many times that the incident did not even shock White. He said that there are many demons following Jones, and even 12 hours in Las Vegas is enough for him to get into trouble.

Jones has been training as he prepares to debut in the heavyweight category, although an opponent is yet to be decided. On Thursday, Jones told reporters and discussed how he approaching and training for the changed weight class.

His MMA career record is currently 26-1. His last fight was in last year in February. It was a fight against Dominick Reyes where he had been decided as the victor unanimously. In 2019, he was arrested as well and charged with battery.
