Kamala Harris’ Undisclosed Trip To California

Kamala Harris, the vice-president of the United States of America, went on to visit the region of Southern California. However, the reason why she visited was not mentioned. The White House did not disclose the reason for the visit. The vice-president belonging to the Democratic Party made her visit on the 1st of October that fell on a Friday. She departed from an airport that is situated in Maryland and stayed in a town called Palm Springs. The resort is situated at a distance of 107 miles east of the city of Los Angeles.

The White House gave a statement on the time schedule of Kamala Harris, the 56-year-old first female vice-president of the country. It was stated that she would make her return on the 2nd of October that fell on a Saturday. Though the Democratic President and Douglas Emhoff, her husband already have a home in a neighborhood called the Brentwood section that is situated in Los Angeles, she did not stay there. As stated by the White House, she resided in the resort. The location of the resort was not specified. It is to be noted that none of the reporters were allowed to watch vice-president Kamala Harris depart. 

There were no such public events that she was to attend in the state of California. And that was also not mentioned in the schedule of Vice-President Kamala Harris. No politicians belonging to the Democratic Party from the locality of California claimed to have met with her as well. It was reported that there was a very heavy law enforcement presence in the area where the VP landed. Christy Gilbert, the mayor of the city of Palm Springs took to the social media platform, Twitter, to welcome the VP.
