Gunpowder Milkshake, the 2021 film, is available on the popular streaming platform, Netflix. The film comes under the genre of an action thriller. The director of the film is Navot Papushado. By the looks of it, people can be deceived for thinking it to be one of the adaptations of a comic book. However, it is not so. The movie is entirely an original one. Gunpowder Milkshake revolves around the life of Sam who is played by Karen Gillan, the Scottish actress. Sam is a grown woman and the daughter of Scarlet who is an assassin by profession. The role of Scarlett is carried out by Lena Heady, from the popular series, Game Of Thrones.

Gunpowder Milkshake Background

As the story proceeds, viewers come to know that Sam is ditto like her mother. She too follows Scarlett’s footsteps. And this takes place despite the fact that she was abandoned when she was in her teenage years. After some time, Gunpowder Milkshake reaches a point where Sam gets into a mess and is desperately in need of help. So in the search for help, she comes to terms with what is termed as the “Librarians.” They are the old friends of Scarlett, Sam’s mother. The “Librarians” are actually three sisters. They are Carla Gugino, Michelle Yeoh and Angela Bassett. Together they reside in their library.

Sam in Gunpowder Milkshake tries to get work done on her own. However, a little later, she finds out the fact that she does need help. She is in need of an alliance that includes the Librarians as well as her birth mother. Together they face the violence of some male gangsters through violence itself. The movie is extremely entertaining to watch given the fact that all the ladies are very tough when it comes to combat. It includes little unpredictable color bursts in the midst of darkness.
